  • 1989 – 1994 Degree course in architecture at the University of Applied Sciences in Nuremberg
  • 1992 Internship at the architects’ practice Alan Johnson and Associates in London
  • 1994 – 1995 employed at the architects’ practice Nihon Sekkei in Tokyo
  • 1995 – 1997 employed at the architects’ practice Seegy & Bisch Architekten in Nuremberg
  • 1997 – 2000 self-employed as an architect, completion of several small residential construction projects
  • since 2000 English courses for architects

Teaching

  • 1999 – 2000 Lecturer for English at the vocational school Institut für Auslandskunde in Erlangen  
  • 2000 – 2015 Business English courses for a variety of private clients and the adult education centre in Nuremberg
  • since 2000 English courses for architects 
  • 2008 publication of the book English for Architects and Civil Engineers at the publishing company Vieweg (now in its 6th edition at SpringerVieweg)
  • since 2015 fully employed as a lecturer for technical English at the Nuremberg Tech (University of Applied Sciences)

Translation

  • 1998 – 1999 guest student in translation courses at the Institut für Auslandskunde in Erlangen
